Hero MotoCorp has just rolled out its latest electric bike, the Hero Vida V3, and it’s turning heads in the market. This new model promises to make eco-friendly riding more accessible for everyday folks. With rising fuel prices and growing concern for the environment, electric bikes like this one are becoming a smart choice. The Vida V3 stands out because it combines good range, decent speed, and an affordable price tag.
Design
The Hero Vida V3 has a sleek and modern design that looks fresh on the road. It’s got a lightweight frame made from high-strength aluminum, which makes it easy to handle in traffic. The bike comes in four colors: matte black, vibrant red, cool blue, and silver gray. Up front, there’s a sharp LED headlight that gives it a sporty vibe, and the seat is cushioned for comfort during long rides. It also has a digital display panel that shows speed, battery level, and trip info clearly.
Performance
When it comes to performance, the Vida V3 doesn’t disappoint for its price. It packs a 5kW electric motor that delivers smooth acceleration from zero to 60km/h in about 6 seconds. The top speed hits 90km/h, which is plenty for highway runs or overtaking in the city. Riding modes include Eco, Normal, and Sport, so you can switch based on your needs—Eco for saving battery, Sport for a quicker punch. The suspension is tuned well with telescopic forks at the front and twin shocks at the back, handling bumps on Indian roads without much trouble.
Mileage
One of the biggest highlights is the mileage, or rather the range on a single charge. Hero claims up to 190km in Eco mode, which is impressive for an affordable electric bike. This comes from a 4.5kWh lithium-ion battery that’s removable for easy charging at home or work. A full charge takes around 4-5 hours on a standard outlet, or faster with a quick charger. In real-world tests, users are getting about 160-180km depending on riding style and load.
Price
Now, the best part—the price. The Hero Vida V3 starts at just ₹89,999 for the base variant, going up to ₹1,09,999 for the top one with extra features like Bluetooth connectivity and anti-theft alarm. There’s also a battery subscription option that lowers the upfront cost to ₹69,999, where you pay a monthly fee for the battery. Subsidies from the government can bring it even lower in some states. Compared to petrol bikes, the running cost is super low, around 20-30 paise per km.
